On this day in 1970 Crosby, Stills and Nash won the Grammy for Best New Artist. “Deja Vu,” the follow up from the new lineup of Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, was released the same day.  

Two years later, in 1972, Neil Young was #1 with his album ‘Harvest.’ The record also contained the hit single, “Heart of Gold.”  

And today in 1997, Paul McCartney became “Sir” Paul McCartney when he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth.
