December 5

The Rolling Stones held a party in London today in 1968 to celebrate the release of their “Beggars Banquet” album. The highlight of the event was a food fight with custard pies.

On this day in 1975, Fleetwood Mac’s tenth album went gold. Titled simply, “Fleetwood Mac,” it was the first album by the band’s new lineup since adding members Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.

And on this day in 1968, Graham Nash quit The Hollies. In three days, he’d announce his new band, Crosby, Stills and Nash.
