The Beatles’ “Magical Mystery Tour” album was released in America in 1967. In Britain, it was on two 7 inch EPs, with only the songs from the movie. The US version added their recent singles to make a full LP.
Also released on this day in 1970: the George Harrison classic, “All Things Must Pass.” The triple LP was the ex-Beatle’s most successful solo album.
And finally, it’s the birth anniversary of the late Jimi Hendrix…born today in Seattle, Washington in 1942.
