On this day in 1988 George Harrison released the single “When We Was Fab”, the second from his album ‘Cloud Nine’. The lyrics are a nostalgic reflection on the days of Beatlemania when the Beatles were first referred to as “the fab four”.
Today in 1992 the inaugural “Big Day Out” festival took place in Sydney, Australia with Nirvana, Violent Femmes and several other acts performing.
And in 1999 the Rolling Stones begin their No Security tour in Oakland, California.
