On this day in 1984, Van Halen released their sixth studio album, simply titled ‘1984’. It is the last album to feature all four original members and sold more than 10 million copies. It features the hits “Jump”, “Panama”, “Hot for Teacher”, and “I’ll Wait”.
In 1963, the Rolling Stones found the man who will sit behind the kit for the next 50-plus years when Charlie Watts leaves the group ‘blues incorporated’ to join an up-and- coming band called the Rolling Stones.
