Today in 1971 George Harrison became the first solo Beatle to have a #1 album in the u.S. When “all things must pass”, with the tracks “my sweet lord” and “what is life”, went to the top of the Billboard chart for a seven-week stay.  

In 1978, two months after quitting the band, Ozzy Osbourne rejoins Black Sabbath.  

And on this day in 1969 Led Zeppelin played the first of four nights at the Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles during the band’s first North American tour with the opening act, The Alice Cooper Band.
