Happy birthday to Gainesville native and former Eagles guitarist Don Felder. The co-writer of Hotel California and other classics turns 75 today.  

In 1979, The New York Post reported that The Beatles would reunite in a benefit for the Kampuchean boat people. It wasn’t true—only Paul McCartney was involved in the shows a few months later.  

Today in 1968, Jimi Hendrix scored his only US Top 20 single with his version of Bob Dylan’s “All Along the Watchtower.”
