Today in Rock History with Chris DeCarlo

September 10 |

Today marks birthday #72 for Aerosmith lead guitarist and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Joe Perry.

Rod Stewart’s first recording session was today in 1964. where he did a version of “Good Morning Little Schoolgirl.” Unfortunately for Rod, the Yardbirds released their version of the blues standard at about the same time, and overshadowed his.

Record releases on this day include the Kiss double album, “Kiss Alive” in 1975 … and the Rolling Stones’ single “She’s So Cold” in 1980.
