On this day in 1981 Stevie Nicks released her first solo album “Bella Donna,” featuring “Edge Of Seventeen” and “Stop Dragging My Heart Around”  

In 1988, ‘Appetite For Destruction,’ Guns N’ Roses debut album, finally hit #1 on the charts, over a year after it was released. It also had already sold 5 million copies by that time.  

 And in 1982, the film “Pink Floyd – The Wall” opened in New York. Boomtown Rats frontman and future “Live Aid” organizer Bob Geldof starred in the lead role, as Pink.
