On this day in 1976, Blue Oyster Cult released the biggest hit of their career. After years of building their following on the road, “Don’t Fear the Reaper” brought them to a nationwide audience.  

Today in 1980, The Eagles played their last concert for 14 years. During a charity show in Long Beach, California, tempers boiled over between Glenn Frey and Don Felder, who were verbally threatening each other on stage.  

And in 1978, The Rolling Stones had the top single in the country with “Miss You” from the album, “Some Girls.”
