In 1973, Grand Funk Railroad began recording their album “We’re an American Band” at Criteria Studios in Miami. They’d finish it in only four days with producer Todd Rundgren.

And, today’s birthdays include the late Brad Delp, founding vocalist for Boston, and former Cheap Trick drummer Bun E Carlos, who’s 72.
