Genesis played their first concert as a headliner on this day in 1973

In 1972, Paul McCartney & Wings played their very first concert, showing up unannounced to play at Nottingham College in England.

And in 1961, The Beatles played their first show at Liverpool’s Cavern Club under that name. They’d play almost 300 shows there. Three years later, in 1964, they played the Ed Sullivan Show with seventy-three million Americans watching.
