In 1971, Black Sabbath started recording their third album, Master of Reality. The record’s dark sound would prove to be highly influential to many metal bands that followed.
Today in 1962, The Beatles played two gigs in one day, including a lunchtime show at The Cavern Club. Since drummer Pete Best was sick, Ringo Starr filled in, making his live debut with the band. He’d get the job officially 6 months later.
