On this day in 1973, the late Keith Emerson of Emerson Lake and Palmer injured his hands during a concert in San Francisco when his piano, which was rigged to explode as part of the show, went off early.

And finally, happy birthday to singer songwriter Graham Nash of Crosby, Stills and Nash, who’s turning 80 today.
