“Rolling Stone” magazine was first published on this day in 1967. Their first issue featured John Lennon on the cover, and a lead article on the Monterey Pop Festival.  

John Lennon & Yoko Ono first met on this day in 1966, at Yoko’s art exhibition of “Unfinished Paintings and Objects” at a London gallery.  

And David Crosby was fired from the Byrds on this day in 1967. A year later, he would team up with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash to form Crosby, Stills and Nash.
