In 1968, during a show in Amsterdam, an intoxicated Jim Morrison passed out while dancing to Jefferson Airplane’s set onstage. He was rushed to the hospital while The Doors performed as a trio.  

Today in 1994, the earliest known John Lennon recording was sold at Sotheby’s in London for just under $123,000. It was made the day Lennon and McCartney met for the first time.  

And today in 2019, Cars’ leader Ric Ocasek died while recovering from surgery. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer was 75 years old.
