Today in 1962, 21 year old Robert Allen Zimmerman legally changed his name to Bob Dylan. He’d been performing under the name, or variations of it, for three years already.  

In 1975 the Eagles were #1 on the American singles charts for the second time in a row with “One of These Nights.” 

And Def Leppard was at the top of the album charts on this day in 1988 with “Hysteria.” It featured 4 Top Ten singles, including “Love Bites” and “Pour Some Sugar on Me.”
