In 1965 The Rolling Stones hit #1 on the American charts for the first time with their undisputed classic “Satisfaction.” It held the top spot for 4 weeks.  

In 1968, Eric Clapton announced the break-up of the legendary ’60’s group Cream and that their next tour would be their last.  

And on this day in 1964, the film “A Hard Day’s Night” premiered in The Beatles’ hometown of Liverpool. Hundreds of thousands lined the streets from the airport to the city center for a huge parade.
