In 1993, Bruce Springsteen was a surprise guest on David Letterman’s final show as host of “Late Night” on NBC, performing “Glory Days.”
In 1967 an historic moment in both broadcasting and recording took place, when the Beatles performed “All You Need Is Love” live during a worldwide TV broadcast seen by over 200 million people.
Also in 1967, The Jimi Hendrix Experience gave a free afternoon concert in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park. They also played another two shows that evening at the Fillmore West.
