On this day in 1974 Bruce Springsteen opened for Bonnie Raitt at Boston Arena. Writer Jon Landau reviewed the show with the famous line “I saw Rock and Roll’s future, and its name is Bruce Springsteen.”  

Happy Birthday to Cheap Trick bassist Tom Petersson. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is 71 today! 

Bob Dylan performed the first of two nights at London’s Royal Albert Hall on this day in 1965. All four members of the Beatles were in the audience.
