Buffalo Springfield played their last show today in 1968 in Long Beach, California. In spite of their short time together, they were hugely influential due to the later success of members Stephen Stills and Neil Young, among others.  

Happy Birthday to original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward, who’s turning 73 today.  

And two classic hit singles were released today in 1969: Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Bad Moon Rising” and The Beatles’ “Get Back.”
