Motley Crue lead guitarist Mick Mars turns a year older today, but since there’s no consensus on what year he was born, we’ll just wish him a Happy Birthday.  

On this day in 1977, the original “Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl” LP was released. Compiled from shows in 1964 and ’65, the screaming crowd almost drowned out the band.  

And today in 1970, four students at Kent State University were killed and eleven wounded by National Guard troops at a Vietnam War protest. The tragic incident inspired Neil Young to write his song, “Ohio.
