In 1969, Janis Joplin made her London debut at the Royal Albert Hall with the Kozmic Blues Band. The performance was considered to be one of her best.
In 1967, it was the final day of recording sessions for The Beatles “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.” The two items they did–a 15 Kilohertz tone that only dogs could hear, and a loop of random silly noises for the album’s inner groove–were left off the US version of the record.
And in 1973, Alice Cooper was #1 on the US album charts with “Billion Dollar Babies.”
