December 25
It’s Christmas Day, and today in 1967, Jimi Hendrix was Santa, dressing up as Father Christmas for a children’s party at London’s Roundhouse.
On this day in 1976, the Eagles got a nice present when their sixth album, “Hotel California,” went platinum after selling its first million copies. It would go on to sell over 26 million.
And some other birthdays on the calendar today include Jimmy Buffett who’s 74, and the late bassist for the Jimi Hendrix experience, Noel Redding, born in 1945.
