October 5th through October 18th, spook us with your two-sentence horror stories and you just might be on your way to SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream!
Enter daily below with your “scary” stories and get ready for the chaos, fright, and frightful nights of Halloween fun at SeaWorld’s spookiest after-hours event.
From Monday October 5th to Sunday October 18th at midnight, listeners will be able to enter the “Haunted Headlines” contest at windfm.com/contests for a chance to win tickets to SeaWorld’s Howl-O-Scream.
As part of entering, each entrant must submit a horror story told in exactly two (2) sentences through the entry form. Submitting a story is a required step to enter – but what is written isn’t judged, scored, or used to pick a winner in any way.
By submitting a story, the entrant represents and warrants that the story is their own original work, has not been copied or derived from any other source, and does not infringe upon the copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights of any third party. Wind-FM reserves the right to disqualify any entry it believes, in its sole discretion, to be plagiarized, copied, or otherwise not the original work of the entrant.
By submitting a story, entrant grants Wind-FM a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display the story on-air, online, on the station’s website, and across the station’s social media and other promotional channels, without additional compensation to the entrant.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, Wind-FM reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to review all submitted stories and to disqualify any entry containing content that is obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, sexually explicit, violent beyond the horror theme intended by this promotion, unlawful, or otherwise inappropriate or offensive, as determined by Wind-FM. Disqualification under this provision applies solely to the content of the story and shall not be construed as a merit-based judging criterion; it exists solely to ensure entries comply with broadcast standards and applicable law. Wind-FM’s decision regarding disqualification under this section is final.
On each weekday from October 6th through October 19th, 1 winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries and will be notified by phone and awarded the prize.
All winners will need to pick up their tickets in person at 1901 East Fort King Street upon signing the release form.
There will be a total of 10 winners.
One daily entry is possible per day for a total of 14 entries. Listeners can enter from Monday, October 5th to Sunday, October 18th at midnight.
Participants, upon completion of the contest entry form, will be presented with options enabling them to earn bonus entries through specified actions detailed at the end of the contest entry form.
Liking a Facebook page or sharing the post presented at the end of the contest entry form is not incentivized and listeners will not receive bonus entries for either action. Bonus entries will be issued to a participant exclusively when another person enters the contest through the shared Facebook link provided at the end of the contest entry form.
The Prize contains:
- A pair of tickets to SeaWorld Orlando’s Howl-O-Scream
- A Parking Pass for SeaWorld Orlando
Prize is approximately valued at $281.98
Winners will need to follow all COVID guidelines and protocols put in place by the concert/venue organizer. We are not responsible for any event cancellation or rescheduling.
One entry per person, per day, for a total of 14 possible entries into the contest. Submitting more than the allowed entries will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participant’s entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the e-mail address used to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these Official Rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.
WYND-FM contests are open to all eligible Florida residents 18 or older have not won anything on WYND-FM in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.
Employees of WYND-FM, North Central Florida Media Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communications within a one-hundred-mile radius of WYND-FM’s main studio are not eligible to win any contest. Immediate families include the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals from whom the employee is current legal guardian.
All decisions of WYND-FM are final and shall be binding in all respects. Entry into this contest constitutes permission to use the name or likeness of each prize winner for advertising, trade, and publicity purposes without prior approval and without additional compensation.
No purchase necessary. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. Winners will be responsible for all applicable state and federal taxes. WYND-FM’s sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WYND-FM will have no further responsibility in connection with the prize if the prize winner, for any reason, cannot or decides not to use any of the prize.
