One in Six Kids Think We Should Leave Christmas Trees Up All Year

More than one in six kids under the age of 10 think Christmas trees should be left up ALL YEAR, according to a new poll.  Here are a few more quick stats . . .

 

1.  How long should you leave your tree up?  47% of kids said as long as you want . . . 29% said from Thanksgiving to New Year’s . . . 17% said all year . . . 5% said only on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day . . . and 2% had more unique answers, like “until Grandma’s birthday.”

2.  Two thirds of kids prefer real Christmas trees over artificial ones.  And 96% said they think Santa puts up a real tree.

3.  Who picks the BEST trees?  20% of kids said THEY do.  48% said mom . . . 29% said dad . . . and only 1% of kids said their brother or sister picks the best trees.

4.  What would kids do if they had to EARN a Christmas tree?  73% would clean their room . . . 50% would be nicer to their siblings for a whole week . . . and 25% would give up video games for a week.  But only 19% would give up one month’s allowance.

5.  Kids have no idea how long it takes to grow a Christmas tree.  Answers ranged from “50 minutes” to “one million years.”  The real answer is 7 to 10 years.
