The City of Ocala’s Ocala Recreation and Parks Department recently reopened the Fort King National Historic Landmark and Visitor Center.

After closing facilities in March due to COVID-19, the City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department reopened the Visitors Center at Fort King National Historic Landmark, 3925 E Fort King St., to the public, on a limited basis, Fridays and Saturdays beginning Aug. 14. Hours of operation will be noon to 5pm.

In accordance with current recommended health guidelines, due to COVID-19, only five visitors at a time will be allowed inside the visitor’s center, and all guests must wear a mask to cover nose and mouth and adhere to a physical distance of six feet apart.
