On this day in 1977, Fleetwood Mac release “Rumours”, one of the best- selling albums of all time. It spent 31 weeks at the top of the U.S. album chart on the strength of the singles, “Go Your Own Way”, “Dreams”, “Don’t Stop” and “You Make Loving Fun”, and won a grammy for album of the year in 1978.
Today in 2017 Black Sabbath played the final show of their nearly fifty year career in Birmingham, England with vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, guitarist Tony Iommi, and bassist Geezer Butler. Their final song of the night, “Paranoid”, is streamed live on Facebook so fans around the world can witness the historic moment onstage.
And happy birthday today to shock-rock pioneer Alice Cooper, who turns 75.
