On this day in 1985, the Eagles’ Glenn Frey makes his acting debut on an episode of tv’s Miami vice – a show based on his song, “Smuggler’s Blues”.  

Today in 1987 Journey wrap up their Raised on Radio’ tour with a show in Anchorage, Alaska. It’s their last tour with Steve Perry, who makes one more album with the band, ‘Trial By Fire’, in 1996.  

Guitarist Mike Campbell turns 73 today; beginning in 1975, he was Tom Petty’s right-hand man in ‘the Heartbreakers’.  Since Petty’s passing in 2017, Mike’s toured with ‘Fleetwood Mac’ and his own band, ‘The Dirty Knobs’.
