November 14

Happy Birthday to guitarist/vocalist James Young of Styx. “J.Y.” turns 71 today.

On this day in 1975, Queen kicked off their 78-date “Night At The Opera” world tour at the Empire Theatre in Liverpool, England. At the time, “Bohemian Rhapsody” was climbing up the charts.

Today in 1967, Jimi Hendrix headlined a show at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the start of a 16-date tour. Six other bands were on the bill, including The Nice (with Keith Emerson), and Pink Floyd.
