In 1980, Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham died after a drinking binge during rehearsals for their US Tour. The band would announce their break up soon after.  

In 1982, Queen were the musical guests on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ performing “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” and “Under Pressure.” It would be their last U.S. performances with Freddie Mercury.  

On September 25th, 1965, The Beatles got their own Saturday morning cartoon series. They reluctantly donated their songs, but not their own voices, to their animated counterparts.
