Today in 1968, The Doors were asked to leave Phoenix, Arizona after local authorities claimed Jim Morrison tried to incite a riot. They felt he was responsible for inspiring fans to rush the stage during their show.  

Ann & Nancy Wilson, Sammy Hagar, and Warren Zevon were some of the artists who lent their talents to Neil Young’s seventh annual Bridge School Benefit today in 1993.  

And today in 1967, Elton John and Bernie Taupin signed their first publishing contract. Since both were under 21, their parents had to be there as witnesses.
