In 1967, Paul McCartney got himself in some hot water. On BBC TV, he confirmed what he’d said in an earlier interview, that he’d taken LSD.  

The Edgar Winter Group had their first Gold Record today in 1973, with the single “Frankenstein.” The instrumental hit was produced by Rick Derringer, and features Ronnie Montrose on guitar.  

And happy birthday to Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ann Wilson, the still-amazing voice of Heart, born today in 1950
