In 1970 Peter Green, the man who formed Fleetwood Mac, left the group. Green started out with John Mayall’s Blues Breakers, where he recruited Mick Fleetwood and John McVie to form their namesake band in 1967.  

In 1969 the Beatles were at the top of the American singles charts with “Get Back.” Famous for being part of the “rooftop concert” on the Apple offices, the single was actually recorded three days earlier in the studio.  

And Happy Birthday to Bob Dylan, born Robert Zimmerman, 81 years ago today in Duluth, Minnesota.
