Today in Rock History with Chris DeCarlo

March 10 |

Today in 1973, Pink Floyd released their eighth studio album, “Dark Side of the Moon.” Though it only spent a week at #1, it’s one of the best-selling albums of all time, staying on the charts for 741 straight weeks.

In 1984, Van Halen was at the top of the charts with “Jump.” The synth-based song was a departure for the guitar-driven band, but it became their first and only #1 single.

And happy birthday to Tom Scholz, the mind and guitar behind Boston who turns 75 today.
