Today in 1976, Who drummer Keith Moon collapsed on stage during a concert in Boston. Roadies carried him off while Roger Daltrey explained to the 16,000 fans in the Boston Garden that Keith “had the flu.”
Having recently changed their name from “Earth,” Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward made their concert debut at London’s Roundhouse as Black Sabbath.
And today in 1976, Queen’s “A Night at the Opera,” the album that features “Bohemian Rhapsody,” was certified gold.
