Happy Birthday today to shock-rock pioneer Alice Cooper, who turns 74.

On this day in 1984, the Police began their “Synchronicity” tour in Syracuse, New York. The single, “Wrapped Around Your Finger,” was on its way up the charts at the time.

On this day in 1969 Paul McCartney hired the Eastman & Eastman law firm, owned by his father- in- law, as the legal counsel for Apple Records. The other three had hired manager Allen Klein the day before. It was the beginning of the end of the Beatles.
