Happy Birthday to singer, songwriter and drummer Phil Collins of Genesis. He turns 71 today.

The Beatles’ last public performance ever was on this day in 1969, on the rooftop of the Beatles-owned Apple Headquarters building in London.

The Moody Blues had their first #1 hit single on this day in 1965, when “Go Now” topped the British charts. The lead vocalist on that record is Denny Laine, a future member of Wings.
