On this day in 1966, Grace Slick made her first appearance with Jefferson Airplane, playing the Fillmore West in San Francisco. Grace replaced Signe Anderson, who left the group to have a baby.
Happy birthday to Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues who’s 74 today. He and the band were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
And Happy Anniversary to Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts and his wife Shirley Ann Shepherd. They were married 56 years ago today.
