December 3 |
One of the saddest days in Rock History was today in 1979, when eleven fans died and dozens injured in the rush to get good seats at a Who concert in Cincinnati. Because of the tragedy, the city banned festival seating until 2004.
Two noteworthy gold records were awarded on this day in 1968: Cream’s debut album, “Fresh Cream,” and Iron Butterfly’s “In-A-Gadda-da-Vida.”
And finally, Happy Birthday to Ozzy Osbourne, who turns 73 today.
