October 10 –
Today in 1979, Los Angeles mayor Tom Bradley proclaimed it “Fleetwood Mac Day,” honoring the band with stars on Hollywood’s Walk Of Fame. Stevie Nicks’ mom was flown in especially for the event.
In 1978, Aerosmith was coming back for their encore in Philadelphia, when an M-80 was thrown onstage, injuring Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be the last time they’d have trouble during a show in the ‘City of Brotherly Love.”
And say Happy Birthday to Van Halen lead singer David Lee Roth, who’s 66.
