Today in Rock History with Chris DeCarlo

November 1 |

Happy Birthday to Rick Allen, drummer of Def Leppard. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer is 58 today.

The Beatles scored their 13th #1 album when ‘Abbey Road’ topped the charts today in 1969. Over 50 years later, it’s still their best-selling single LP of original material.

The Rolling Stones released their second single on this day in 1963, “I Wanna Be Your Man,” a Lennon-McCartney tune they wrote for the Stones. The Beatles version, with Ringo singing, came out later that month.
