On this day in 1966, Grace Slick made her first appearance with Jefferson Airplane, playing the Fillmore West in San Francisco. Grace replaced Signe Anderson, who left the group to have a baby.
Today in 1996, “The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus” was finally released. The unaired TV special had been in the vaults for 28 years.
And Happy birthday to Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues who’s 75 today. He and the band were inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2018.
