Bob Dylan’s “Highway 61 Revisited” album was released today in 1965. It included one of his biggest and most influential songs, “Like A Rolling Stone.”  

In 1973, after two poorly received albums, Rolling Stone magazine reported that the post-Jim Morrison Doors had broken up.  

And in 1970, Jimi Hendrix headlined the final day of 1970’s Isle Of Wight festival in England. It’d be his last official live show before his untimely death a few weeks later.
