On this day in 1969, Santana’s self-titled debut album entered the charts. The double-platinum LP contained the top-10 single, “Evil Ways.”  

Today in 1986, The Beatles “Twist and Shout” re-entered the U.S. singles charts… 25 years after it first appeared. The renewed interest came when it was featured in the film “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off.”  

And happy birthday to Randy Bachman, guitarist and vocalist for The Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive, who’s 78.
