On this day in 1977, Kiss began four nights of live recording at the L.A. Forum for “Kiss Alive II.” Today is also bassist Gene Simmons’ 72nd birthday.
Today in 1970, Emerson, Lake and Palmer played live for the first time, at Plymouth Guild Hall in England. Four days later, they were in front of over half a million fans at the Isle of Wight Festival.
And today in 1994, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page reunited in a London studio to record their version of MTV “Unplugged,” which they called “Unledded.”
