Today in Rock History with Chris DeCarlo

July 30 |

Today in 1974 was a great night at The Troubadour in LA: co-headliners Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band and former Byrds leader Roger McGuinn.

On this day in 1966, The Beatles had the #1 album with “Yesterday and Today,” a U.S.-only release that would stay in the top spot for five weeks.

And today in 1987, David Bowie kicked off the U.S. leg of his Glass Spider Tour at Veterans Stadium in Philadelphia. The 60 foot high spider-shaped stage was described at the time as “the largest touring set ever.”
