On this day in 1990, 150,000 people came to the Berlin Wall to watch an all-star performance of Pink Floyd’s “The Wall,” led by Roger Waters. Guests included Bryan Adams, Van Morrison, The Scorpions, and many others.  

Today in 1987, Guns N Roses released “Appetite for Destruction,” which holds the record for the best-selling debut album in rock history.  

And other notable releases today include Robert Palmer’s “Bad Case of Lovin’ You” which came out as a single in 1979.
