Today in Rock History with Chris DeCarlo

July 20 |

Happy Birthday to a couple of Rock and Roll Hall of fame guitarists: Carlos Santana is 74, and Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard is 55.

In 1975, guitarist Little Steven Van Zandt made his concert debut with Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band in Providence, Rhode Island, starting the “Born to Run” tour.

And on this day in 1965, Columbia Records released Bob Dylan’s, “Like a Rolling Stone.” It climbed to number two on the U.S. chart, Dylan’s biggest hit…until 2020’s “Murder Most Foul.”
