The Kiss Alive/Worldwide Reunion Tour kicked off at Detroit’s Tiger Stadium on this day in 1996, featuring all four original members in full makeup.  

Today in 1969, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, and The Nice, featuring Keith Emerson, were the headliners at the “Bath Festival of Blues” in the UK.  

And in 1975, The Eagles started a five-week run at No.1 on the US album chart with their fourth studio release, ‘One of These Nights’. It had three Top 10 singles: ‘Lyin‘ Eyes’, (which won a Grammy), ‘Take it to the Limit’ and the title track.
